This release really sounds like a "classic" Human League track from this
area, but with very very poor vocals only! |

Sandie Shaw
Born Sandra Goodrich on February 26, 1947 in Dagenham Essex, England. She
began her career in 1964 as a teen pop singer in England. Her cover of Burt
Bacharach's "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me" reached number
1 in the UK that year. She was noted for her imposing height, model looks
and performances in bare feet. Her initial style of abrupt, jerky rhythms
and plaintive ballads switched to a cabaret style vocal soon after her calypso
inspired "Long Live Love" hit number 1 in 1965. She performed on television
in the UK continually. The record label attempted to launch her as "family
entertainment" after she left her teen years. This approach failed due to
news reports of a seedy nature and a failed marriage to fashion entrepreneur
Jeff Banks. She soon retired. Ms. Shaw was able to make a comeback in the
late 1980s thanks to BEF (members of Heaven 17) covering "Anyone Who Had
a Heart" and a duet with Morrissey (of the Smiths). Rough Trade released
an LP on which Sandie covers Morrissey, the Smiths, and Jesus and Mary Chain
songs. In 1991 a biography "The World at My Feet" was published. |

Michi Lange "Brothers & Sisters" I
Promo text from "Peppermint Jam":
MICHAEL LANGE discovered his passion for electronic music at
an age of 13, when he became his first keyboard. After a while he bought
his first set of turntables and so his equipment started to grow. In 1992
MICHAEL converted his parent's sauna into a little studio, where he began
his first production work. Later on he released his first record called "Giant
E.P"; under the project name "Altered States" released on Container Records.
The project "Altered States" was also performing live on stage with an instant
success. |
MICHAEL LANGE has been DJing for the past 10 years now, he worked for
a famous house club in Hamburg called FRONT. His reputation grew imidiately
on an international level. 4 years ago MICHAEL LANGE team up with Boris Dlugosch
to do remixes and production work for Peppermint Jam Records and other labels
and record companies. As a producerteam they worked for international stars
like Mousse T. ("Horny"), Mary J. Blige "Love Is All We Need", Lighthouse
Family "High", Amira "Desire" ... - just to mention few. |
|
Since that time MICHAEL set up a professional studio in Hamburg
where he created his latest single "Brothers, Sisters". For this huge track
MICHAEL LANGE used a sample from famous U.K. group Heaven 17, who were so
excited about the track that they decided to use it on their next album.
At the moment MICHAEL is looking forward to shoot the video of "Brothers
Sisters" - his first video ever - and also to receive his second gold record
- this time for the remix of Lighthouse Family (he got his first one for
remixing"Horny" from Mousse T. vs. Hot 'N' Juicy). But he still finds time
for spinning records in German and international house clubs and promoting
his own house party - the in the meanwhile legendary "Salvation Club" - which
takes place every second Friday in the club Pleasuredome, Hamburg. |
