Heaven 17 "Bigger Than America" (WEA) reviewed by Chaos Control
The great thing about the reunited Heaven 17 is that they're exactly the same as they were in the 80's. "Bigger Than America" contains no surprises; just 12 great songs that show Heaven 17 unafraid of sticking to their roots. Surprisingly, this does not sound at all like a retro album; Heaven 17's strong pop sensibility transcends the synth sound that they use. Far superior to Heaven 17's last two albums, "Bigger Than America" is a must have for any fan of "Penthouse and Pavement"/"Luxury Gap"-era Heaven 17.
